Live Quail and Hatching Eggs

We are done hatching quail for 2026. However, we have plenty of hatching eggs available. We also rent a small incubator that holds 35 eggs for $20.

If you want live quail in 2027, we will have them available starting in early March. Live quail are in high demand in the spring, so we encourage you to fill out the order form (below) as soon as possible to avoid delays.

Quail are great for meat and eggs, and are highly sustainable. When given the right conditions, quail will lay almost every day, even in winter. Quail start laying at just 6 weeks old.

Live quail are at least 3 weeks old and off heat. Female quail are $6 each; males are $4 each. Quail are Coturnix (domestic) and are a mix of Pharaoh, Egyptian and Italian. We are pleased with how large they grow and the size of their eggs. Quail hatching eggs are available year round.

Please prepare for raising quail before ordering. This includes housing, feed, equipment, and learning about how to successfully raise quail. We offer a quail class, which can be found on our CLASSES tab.

When picking up quail, you must bring a container to transport quail home, such as a small animal carrier (with mesh less than 1″), or a storage tub with wire cover. Cardboard boxes are NOT ALLOWED for transport (quail will suffocate). We sell healthy 3-week-old quail; Happy Wife Acres is not responsible for quail deaths once they leave the farm.

Depending on timing and availability, you may be asked to pay a 50% deposit on your order. We will email you when your quail are ready for pickup. We will also call/text if you do not reply to the email scheduler. Please respond promptly or we will have to cancel your order and move to the next person in line. Communication is key!
