Chicken Processing Class , 30 May 2026, 9am-Noon

In this very popular class, you will learn how to process a chicken from start to finish.  After a detailed demonstration, you will select a chicken and take it through all the processing steps, including dispatching, scalding, plucking, evisceration, and packaging.  Then, take the chicken home to share with your friends and family.

The class will be held at Happy Wife Acres in our processing barn. We start promptly at 9 am, so please arrive 10 minutes early to get checked in. There is a limit of 8 participants.

The class cost is $45, which includes all supplies and the packaged chicken you will take home. There is a minimum age limit of 14 years old for this class. Chickens processed for this class will be cornish cross meat birds.
