John and Andrea are wonderful! We first met them through the rent a chick program. After a few years of that, and lots of answered questions, we have hatched and have our own small backyard flock. Without their knowledge and help, we would not have had the confidence to do it. If you are interested in learning about chickens or just want some fresh eggs, they are the people to see.

Thank you so much. 2 of your rent a chick were such stand out that they earned names Ernie and Mullet. Mullet even made this year’s calendar.
We participated in the Rent a Chick program. What a wonderful experience for the children! John and Andrea provided everything you need to successfully hatch and raise chicks. They are experts in their field and always happy to give advice. We learned so much about chickens and we very much enjoyed visiting the farm. Our children can‘t wait to participate in their amazing program again!
We could not have been more thrilled with the Rent-A-Chick Hatch program. John and Andrea provided us with a wealth of information well in advance of picking up eggs and supplies, and really took their time to explain exactly what we should expect. As small questions arose, they were happy to answer any inquiry we asked. The time together flew by, and even though we were sad to say goodbye to "our" chicks we were thrilled to be able to arrange a quick tour of the farm that quickly took our daughter's mind off of giving "her" chickens back - she knew they were home. I wish I could say we would be repeat customers - but the program instilled a love for chickens, and we have our own coop now! (Although, several friends are patiently waiting for next year's sign up to begin - they saw what a wonderful experience we had with Happy Wife Acres and are eager to try themselves!) I'm grateful that Andrea continues to be a resource for us as we learn the ropes, and look forward to perhaps taking another class or two from Happy Wife Acres in the future! We could not have chosen a better farm to learn from. Thank you again!
