Chicken Health Day

Would you like to learn about chickens and their health? Then Chicken Health Day is for you. We conduct Chicken Health Day each spring to count our flock and assess their health. This year it will be held on 9 May 2026 starting at 7am, and we need volunteers who want to help and learn. We will start after a short discussion on the procedures. Then we check ALL of our chickens in just a few hours. It’s fast paced while we check for general health, treat for parasites, remove rooster spurs, and band older hens that will be processed in the coming months. Happy Wife Acres is located at 8600 Haddix Rd, Fairborn, Ohio. Please use the form below to register. We need at least 5- 10 volunteers. Lunch will be provided afterwards.
